Frequently Asked Questions
Click any question to open the answer.
Which tool should I use first?+
Use Tool 1 when comparing Cash Book against Finacle/GL. Use Tool 2 when you already know there is a difference and need the exact BO/SO/HO source. Use Tool 3 for Treasury source analysis and Tool 4 for Finacle office-wise/GL-wise extraction.
Can I upload multiple files?+
Tool 3 and Tool 4 are designed around multi-file analysis workflows. Tool 1 and Tool 2 depend on the required source sets for their specific comparison logic.
What is office mapping used for?+
Office mapping connects office names/codes and BO/SO/HO relationships so that records can be classified and differences traced to the correct parent office.
Can I filter by date, office and GL?+
Yes. The tools include filters for dates, offices and GL codes, with additional status, amount or office-type filters depending on the tool.
What do Matched, Difference and Missing mean?+
Matched indicates the compared values agree within the tool logic. Difference indicates the compared values do not agree. Missing indicates one expected side/source was not found for the comparison row.
Can I view the original source records?+
Where supported, View Source opens the contributing source rows so you can verify how the displayed figure was calculated.
Can I export results?+
The tools include export/print workflows such as Excel, Word, CSV or print preview depending on the specific tool and report.
Does Google login work immediately?+
The Google login screen is included, but secure Google authentication needs a Firebase or other OAuth configuration for your domain. Add the credentials in auth-config.js and enable Google authentication before production use.
Can users reset passwords?+
The Forgot Password page is included. Actual reset emails require the authentication provider to be configured.
Are uploaded files stored on the server?+
The current standalone HTML analysis tools are browser-based. If cloud accounts, file history or server storage are later enabled, the privacy policy and backend configuration must be updated accordingly.
Can this be converted to WordPress?+
Yes. The public pages can be converted into a WordPress theme and the tools can be embedded or integrated through a custom plugin. Authentication, subscriptions and payments should be implemented server-side for production.
Can this support subscriptions and credits?+
The public design already includes plan and credit concepts. A production subscription/credit system requires a database, account backend and payment gateway integration.
Accounts, Login & Access
Common questions about registration, protected tools and account access.
Why do I need to login before using the tools?+
The public website explains the platform, while the working reconciliation area is separated into a login-protected dashboard. This keeps tool access organized and allows future account permissions, subscriptions and usage controls.
Can I use Google to sign in?+
The website includes Google Sign-In UI. Production Google authentication must be connected to a secure OAuth/Firebase or server-side authentication configuration for the website domain.
What should I do if I forget my password?+
Use the Forgot Password link on the Login page. Once production authentication is configured, the registered email address can receive a secure password-reset link.
Can another person use my account?+
No. Account credentials, passwords and OTPs should not be shared. Users should log out after completing work on shared or office computers.
Official Data, Privacy & Verification
Important information for users processing reconciliation data.
Is SBCO Reconciliation Suite an official Government or Department of Posts website?+
Unless formally authorized otherwise, no. It is an independently operated/private reconciliation assistance platform. References to departmental terminology and workflows describe the intended functionality and do not by themselves imply Government endorsement or approval.
Can I upload official or financial data?+
Only process information that you are authorized to access and use for the intended reconciliation purpose. Follow all applicable organizational and departmental requirements governing official information.
What information should I never upload?+
Do not upload passwords, OTPs, PINs, API secrets, private keys, authentication tokens or unnecessary personal/confidential information. Use only the minimum information required for reconciliation.
Are the generated results final official certification?+
No. Results are analytical outputs produced from the supplied files, selected parameters and programmed reconciliation logic. Material results must be checked against applicable official records before official use.
Can I take financial or administrative action directly from a difference shown by the tool?+
Do not rely solely on an automatically generated result for a financial adjustment, recovery, disciplinary action, official correspondence or other consequential decision. Verify the underlying records and follow the prescribed procedure first.
Why can a result sometimes be incorrect?+
Results can be affected by incomplete or incorrect source data, changed report formats, wrong date or GL selection, receipt/payment classification, missing mapping, duplicate records, unsupported structures or corrupted files.
Does a “Matched” status guarantee that the official records are correct?+
No. “Matched”, “Difference”, “Verified” or similar software statuses represent the result of programmed comparison logic. They do not by themselves constitute final departmental certification.
How should downloaded reports be handled?+
Excel, Word, CSV, PDF and printed outputs generated from official data should be handled with the same confidentiality and security as the underlying source information.
Tools & File Processing
What is the recommended reconciliation sequence?+
A typical sequence is: Multiple Excel Files → Date/Office/GL Analysis → Difference Identification → BO/SO/HO Drill-Down → Source Verification → Report.
What happens if the source report format changes?+
A tool designed for one report structure may require an update if the source system changes its Excel/report format. Always use the currently supported file structure.
Are reconciliation files sent to AI systems?+
The platform should not intentionally transmit source reconciliation files to third-party AI systems or advertising services unless that functionality is expressly disclosed and appropriately authorized. Check the privacy/security information for the specific production configuration.
Subscriptions, Credits & Payments
Will every tool be available on every plan?+
Tool access, usage limits and credit requirements may vary by plan. Some features may require registration, an active subscription, administrative approval, assigned tool permission or sufficient Credit Points.
What are Credit Points?+
Credit Points can be used as an internal platform usage mechanism. The applicable credit requirement should be shown before a chargeable action when the production credit system is enabled.
Does successful payment always activate access immediately?+
Not necessarily. Depending on the production configuration, payment may activate access automatically or place a subscription into Pending Approval status.
Does the website store my card number, UPI PIN or banking OTP?+
It should not. Payment processing should be handled by the configured payment provider, and the platform should not store complete card numbers, UPI PINs, banking passwords or OTPs.
Can I buy Top-Up Credits without changing my subscription?+
The planned system supports separate Top-Up Credit packs so an eligible user can add extra usage without changing the base subscription. Production purchases require verified payment and a server-side credit ledger.
Where can I see my credit balance and top-up history?+
After login, the Dashboard displays the available credit balance and links to the Top Up Credits page. Once the payment/backend system is connected, verified top-up transactions can be shown in the account history.
